Country Tracker — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 29 October 2026
Country Tracker is made by Harbourworks (Malta). This policy explains what the app does with your information. The short version: your travel history stays on your device, and we don't collect it.
What the app stores, and where
- On your device only. Your day-by-day country history, any visas or permits you add, and your settings are stored locally on your phone. Harbourworks does not receive or store this data.
- Location. If you grant location permission, the app uses your location to work out which country you are in. This is resolved on your device; your raw location is not sent to us.
Optional Google Drive backup
- If you choose to back up, the app saves a single backup file to your own Google Drive, using Google's
drive.filepermission. That permission lets the app see only the backup file it creates — never the rest of your Drive. - The backup lives in your Google account, under your control. Harbourworks cannot access it. You can delete it at any time from Google Drive.
- Your use of Google Drive is also governed by Google's own privacy policy.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or share your data.
- We don't show ads.
- We don't use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.
Your rights
Because your data is held on your own device and in your own Google Drive, you can view, export or delete it yourself at any time. Uninstalling the app removes the on-device data; deleting the backup file removes the copy in your Drive.
Children
Country Tracker is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your country).
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and post the new version on this page.
